LG Hi-Macs® are the first solid surface company in Europe to achieve a hygiene certificate, which essentially means that no bacteria of fungi can grow on the surface.  The surface is such that any impurities can be easily cleaned off.  The design of the material is such that is it is inherently hygienic.  Due to LG Hi-Macs® controlled thermo, sanding and polycoating processes, the surface tends to be very flat and homogeneous and therefore does not allow any 'pockets for mould growth.
